Construction activity: East Wing Stair 5 pressurization system acceptance testing

The East Wing Seismic Upgrades team will perform pressurization system acceptance testing Tuesday, Nov. 19, between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Please note the following details of this activity:

• The new Stair 5 is a two-hour rated pressurized exit enclosure. CA Building Code requires this system to be tested on Standby Power.

• This activity will directly impact the University Tower Life Safety ATS, Davis Tower Life Safety ATS, East Wing Substation Life Safety ATS and the East Wing Substation Equipment ATS.

• Impacts to University Tower, Davis Tower and East Wing may include brief interruption (10 seconds or less) to equipment (HVAC) and life safety power.
