Azam Alizadeh and Jennifer Rossi receive Staff Assembly Awards
Earlier this month, Chancellor Gary May and Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chancellor of Human Health Services David Lubarsky, M.D., together with the Staff Assembly Employee Resource Group, presented awards to Azam Alizadeh, R.EEGT, CLTM, principal EEG technologist, and Jennifer Rossi, chief administrative officer, department of physiology and membrane biology, for their outstanding contributions to the health system.
Paul FitzGerald, Ph.D., and distinguished professor and chair for cell biology and human anatomy, presented Rossi with the 2022 Karen Eilers Award for Staff Excellence. He said, “For those of you who don’t know Rossi, she is not only incredibly bright and incredibly hardworking; she has a relentless work ethic, and she just doesn’t stop until something gets done right.” FitzGerald continued, “If I were to take a job in any industry, anywhere in America, the very first person I would hire would be Rossi.”
Alizadeh received the 2022-2023 Vice Chancellor & Staff Assembly Award for Excellence in Staff Mentoring from Dawn Deines, director of neurodiagnostic services. Deines said, “(Alizadeh) single-handedly, in my opinion, brought up the excellence in our department in so many ways. One of the ways was to mentor our staff and help them become credentialed and really push them forward in excellence in that way. She cares so much about neurodiagnostics, and I am so proud of you and honored to give you this award.”
These annual awards provide the opportunity to celebrate the exceptional work of our talented employees. Their contributions are essential to our mission of providing unparalleled care and transforming lives.
