Interests

My favorite thing to do in my free time is spend time with my husband and toddler exploring the outdoors. Sacramento has a lot of great parks for families including swimming pools, live summer concert music series, gardens, libraries, and outdoor sports. We also love to enjoy the food scene, and catching a night of pub trivia at local breweries with my co-residents.

Why did you choose UC Davis EM?

I chose UC Davis for the combination of stellar academics with Level 1 ED training, but also the supportive and friendly culture of the residency. We genuinely form friendships in our program across classes, and I love hanging out with my co-residents both inside and outside the hospital (emphasis on outside - UC Davis ski cabin is the best perk). Further, as a new mom, it was really important to me to find a residency that believes in and demonstrates work-life balance. Our union is so valuable that it advocates for resident support, including resources for new parents with protected time for parental leave and lactation support services. My co-residents and attendings have supported me every step of the way as a resident and new mom, and that's truly the best!
