Julia Fleuret

Julia Fleuret is a Clinical Epidemiologist with the Prevention Policy & Practice Group within the Center for Healthcare Policy and Research at the University of California, Davis. Julia works primarily on the Healthy Living Clinic Initiative (HLCI). HLCI aims to advance tobacco cessation efforts, in partnership with community clinics, through training and technical assistance in quality improvement. Julia delights in making data collection thoughtful and inclusive for respondents and in making data useful and accessible to as wide an audience as possible. She retains a keen interest in global health topics and has experience contributing to grant-writing and scientific publications. Julia previously worked as a Survey Manager at the Demographic and Health Surveys Program, providing technical assistance to countries implementing household-based nationally representative surveys on health topics in Uganda, Ghana, Mauritania, and Kenya. In addition, she has experience providing monitoring and evaluation capacity building to HIV care and treatment providers at the University of California, San Francisco and coordinating community-based research in New Orleans. Julia received her Bachelor of Arts in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Virginia, and her Master in Public Health from the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
