Philosophy of Care

I chose pediatrics because I enjoy taking care of children and families. From birth through adolescence, young people possess an energy and optimism that can bring a smile to everyone's face. I am honored to be able to be a part of that.

My philosophy of care is to treat every patient as a unique individual and with respect. In doing so, I give each patient my whole and undivided attention. I am detailed and thorough in their medical care. To me, often little things—such as returning phone calls or messages promptly, taking time to answer questions or explain lab results, and treating patients with kindness—matter most to families.

I believe in staying current in the latest in pediatric medicine and technology in order to provide the best care for my patients. I believe that a loving family, development of wise eating and exercise habits, and a knowledge and respect of one's own health are keys to lifelong good health.

Clinical Interests

Dr. O'Malley provides general pediatric care but also has interests including attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), asthma, and care of the child with complex medical needs such as infants who have been born prematurely or children with cerebral palsy.
