One of my favorite aspects of my work is having the opportunity to develop longterm relationships with my patients and their families. I strive to create a comfortable, safe environment and I strongly value taking the time to ensure families understand their child's medical condition. I believe in practicing evidence-based medicine and aim to work with families to develop a plan that is best for their child.
Dr. Christensen is a pediatric endocrinologist who cares for children of all ages with a variety of endocrine conditions including diabetes, disorders of growth and puberty, and thyroid disease.
Dr. Christensen's research focus is in type 1 diabetes mellitus. She has a particular interest in type 1 diabetes screening and in therapies that aim to delay the onset of diabetes in children.
