Dr. Belon seeks to provide compassionate medical care to all pediatric patients and families. He sub-specializes in pediatric regional anesthesia and acute pain medicine. In this area, he seeks to employ the "bio-psycho-social" model to alleviate postop pain and suffering by using new regional anesthesia techniques and addressing all aspects of pediatric pain including anxiety, family structure, and impact of medical conditions on emotional childhood development.
He is currently working actively to promote this methodology internationally.
Dr. Belon is a Pediatric Anesthesiologist offering care for children at UC Davis Hospital. He is skilled in pediatric regional anesthesia and acute pain medicine. He has special clinical interests in international pediatric surgical and perioperative care.
Dr. Belon's research interests include using and training others in the use of ultrasound guided pediatric nerve blocks, research in caudal anesthesia, and promotion and activism to deliver top quality surgical care to children in under served and developing nations.
