I am delighted to welcome you to UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center, designated by the National Cancer Institute as one of the top 1% of cancer centers in the country.

We recognize the term “comprehensive” can have several meanings, even among cancer centers. Our UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center has a very specific meaning that distinguishes us from every other cancer center in inland Northern California.

Like the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval, “comprehensive designation” certifies that our research, clinical, education and outreach programs have met the stringent criteria set forth by the NCI, one of the National Institutes of Health and the world’s leader in cancer research training and funding.

It means that patients at UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center are treated by a vast team practicing state-of-the-art, personalized cancer care provided against the backdrop of more than $100 million of peer-reviewed cancer research annually. It means that our patients have access to more than 200 clinical trials, many of which have grown out of the research done by our own physicians. It means that treatments available to our patients today will one day be the standard of care at all cancer centers.
